Conference Of Panchayats (cop)

Conference Of Panchayats (cop)

A multi-stakeholder initiative that positions Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) at the forefront of advancing community-driven and locally-led climate action.

Integrating Grassroots Voices Into Climate Action

The initiative was conceptualised to support grassroots communities, particularly women, in leading climate action by providing a platform for community leaders, elected Panchayat representatives, and local stakeholders to share their experiences, insights, learnings, and challenges in advancing locally adaptive climate solutions.

Our Approach

Our approach centres on an inverted pyramid model, placing grassroots communities at the forefront and enabling Panchayati Raj Institutions to drive multi-stakeholder climate action through a bottom-up, community-led process.

Panchayat-Led Climate Collaboration

The Conference of Panchayats adopts a community-driven framework, fostering collaboration across key sectors to create sustainable, locally-led climate solutions.
